Mr. Banksy - the graffiti artist, works on streets, walls and bridges around the world

 

The largest exhibition in Japan, where more than 70 works.

 

The exhibition was temporarily suspended due to the influence of the new coronavirus, but it was started from May 30th.

 

 

「BANKSY GENIUS OR VANDAL?(バンクシー展 天才か反逆者か)」

3月15日～9月27日

 

 

The venue is "Asobuild", which is directly connected to Yokohama Station.

As a measure against the new coronavirus, tickets must be reserved in advance.

I was able to specify the date and time of the WEB reservation at a date and time that is convenient for me.

 

There is an artist's work on the wall of the entire Asobuilding building and you can enter the entrance

The venue will be on the 2nd floor using the stairs or elevator.

 

 

 

First of all, temperature measurement and disinfection before entering

To prevent crowding, only people who booked tickets online in advance could enter.

I could appreciate it without any feeling of being full of people.

 

 

 

 

When I entered the venue, I was greeted by an exhibition that reproduced Mr. Banksy's production in the studio.

Also the famous mouse stencil.

It can be seen that it is used as a means to express works speedily on the street.

After seeing the exhibition, he painted humorous graffiti art on plain cardboard and inorganic walls and bridges.

I was able to feel the social problems hidden in the work and the distortion and seriousness that are occurring in the world without any discomfort.

 

 

 

At the end of the exhibition, there is a graffiti with an icon drawn directly on the surveillance camera ...

 

 

  

 

 

At the exit of the venue, there was a voting QR code for "Is Banksy a genius? Is it a rebel?"

You can see the exhibition and vote for either.

All works can be photographed at this exhibition! So, not just seeing it, but shooting what you felt

 

 

 

On the way back, I went to the Red Brick Warehouse,

which I had never been to. It takes about 30 minutes to walk.
